Boy have I gotten lazy.

Really, really, lazy with this blog... Things are busy and days fly by before I know they did. Every once in a while I get a pang of guilt and remember 'I didn't blog this week', but then I remember that I cut 30 finger nails and 30 toe nails and none of them were my own. I emptied and loaded the dishwasher 15 times and did 6 loads of laundry. I worked 40 hours, commuted for 10, ran 15 miles and made dinner a couple of times. I poured juice, wiped up juice, ran to the store to buy more juice and poured. more. juice. I bathed 21 people this week (including myself). That's a lot of hair washing. I read 10 children's books, and one mommy book. I talked to my husband for a minimum of 5 hours (spread over a week - that's the kind of time crunch we are in.) I cleaned 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, and my kitchen. I picked up the playroom at least 20 times because it drives me nuts. And I drank a few glasses of wine and giggled about my week, and then I let myself off the hook for not blogging.

Now that's a deal.

Hannah started sucking her thumb when she was two months old. It was the cutest and sweetest little thing we ever did see. She put herself to sleep with her thumb every night and every nap. As she got older she would suck her thumb when she was tired, upset or always when watching tv. When Hannah was about three, we made a deal with her that when she stopped sucking her thumb, she could get her ears pierced. She was not ready. Every time we have talked about it she has always been honest and just said "I'm just not ready yet."

Well today was the day! We made it. Our big girl stopped sucking her thumb when her bottom teeth got loose and she has been thumb free for over a month. After some haircuts this morning, the whole family (including Grandma) went with Hannah to get her ears pierced. She was so brave and LOVES her new pierced ears. She does look adorable and so much older! We are so proud of her.

Go football team...Go!

We had some snow days this week. We all took this opportunity to stay in our jammies and bake a variety of delicious foods. We did lots of art and plenty of dancing. We ran Adam back to the doctor since his sleeping has been bad, but he checked out ok. We also took this opportunity to clean out the unfinished portion of our basement. It was something we have been putting off for the last 5 years. We had plenty of vintage finds down there. After our next garbage pickup and a run to goodwill, it will all be history.

We really don't allow our children to lay on the counter while we feed them. At least not too often.

ps. Adam is wearing the same shirt again in these pictures as last week. We wash it nearly every day so it's not as bad as it looks.
