6 Months

For his six month birthday, we gave Adam his first baby biscuit. He loved it although he did spit most of it up. We also retired - for the last time - our fishy swing. This was a sad sad day when Hannah and Layla were little since they both loved this swing. For Adam, it wasn't near as sad since he rarely used it. It did provide some precious baby free moments though and it will be missed by many. We hope another baby gets to enjoy it someday - just not in my house!
Adam is still working on his sitting skills. He does well for a few minutes, but falls sideways easily. Here are some shots of our second "family" tub.

We go for Adam's 6 month appointment on Friday so we will have the official weigh in then, but we think maybe around 22 lbs. His last cold still hasn't resolved, but he is getting happier and is generally a good natured baby. He cracks up easily at his sisters and he is very tickleish.

Big girl Haircut

Layla got her first haircut last weekend. She was so good and patient. It helped that she got to see Hannah get her hair cut also. We are hoping her baby fine hair will thicken up so we can pull it back in the summer!

Cousins
Adam - busting out of his 9 month t-shirt.

This is what it looks like when you give a 1 year old an ice cream cone.

Told you he had big feet.

Two Teeth and the big boy tub.

We decided to try out the big boy tub even though Adam doesn't sit up yet. It was fun. In another month or so he will be sitting very well and will join the girls at tub time.

Trying to get a baby to open his mouth and show off his new teeth is hard!

There they are!
Layla and her bubby.

Splish Splash

Not much else to report this week. The litte ones have colds, but should be better by mid-week.

The girls don't really wear real clothes on the weekend. Here are our princess fairies.

Food is yummy.

We have started giving Adam food this week. So far he has had sweet potatoes and carrots. He likes them both a lot better than cereal and that is ok with us. We are moving to twice a day food and removing one daily bottle. He was getting 5 bottles a day and hunka-monka doesn't really need that much formula. Also - before I forget - Adam got his first tooth! Bottom left and it is the cutest little tooth you ever did see.

I added some pictures of the girls right before Layla's bedtime. They are so sweet when they are all clean and tired and not fighting or making a big mess. Notice how each of Hannah's little princesses are sleeping in the coordinating color high heel shoe.......

And some more happy Adam footage. It is hard to catch this kid smiling, but do get him sometimes. It takes some effort to keep him smiling while the camera is out though.

He loves to 'fly' and be tossed around.

Here he is looking tired right before his tub. These are the fat rolls I am referring to when we talk about the tub (and he is not even sitting up well here - so they get better).
I would love to know what he was thinking here :)
And some giggles:

Kiddo update

Adam is 5 months today! He is a large baby. We are guessing he is quickly closing in on 20lbs since he is drinking all of his bottles now. We are trying to start food, but it is not being met with much enthusiasm. He is well out of his 6-9 month clothes so there are many more spring/summer 9 month clothes being put away with tags on them. We never could have anticipated him being so large since we are not huge people.

We took away Adam's paci and he is sleeping somewhat better at night, but we are still not getting good naps. He is making more sounds now and has discovered his yell which is funny. He has his happy moments, but in general is a serious guy. He watches and listens to his sisters. He loves them as they do him. Layla loves to hold "her baby". This is funny because he is almost as big as she is.
We are all looking forward to some nice weather soon. The girls need to get outside and Adam will certainly enjoy it also. We are sure Jeanna (the nanny) will love to get out with them when she can and let them all expend some energy.

This is a new game Layla loves.

We didn't want to jinx it earlier, but Layla is finally off prevacid! It has been a few weeks now and she is doing great. She is eating a regular diet including cheese and yogurt and has been loving it. She is the loudest of our kids so far, but is usually happy. She gets annoyed at Hannah and tends to be vocal about it, but all in all, she is really awesome. She sleeps great, eats great and is just a super cool kid.

Hannah is getting very smart. She will be in jr. kindergarden in the fall. This is good because she needs to be challenged. She is still tall and skinny, but you see from the picture that her curls are gone. Her hair is so thick and heavy that it is getting very straight. She certainly tests us sometimes, but is a very sweet girly girl who loves her siblings and all animals. Hannah still gets up around 6am and has pretty much since birth. We don't forsee this changing until she is a teenager. She is a picky eater, but is still growing/thriving and is very healthy!

So the kids are great, we both have jobs, we are all healthy and life is good.
