Bad parenting

Despite my best intentions, the girls have moved quite a few people into their room. It's getting kind of crowded......

And it is possible I let Adam dress up in a dress (complete with heels).

And I might have fed him chips for breakfast.

I let them turn our slide into a water slide. This is not extremely safe, but lots of fun.

And I cannot for the life of me get a picture of the 3 of them smiling. I try, but somehow it never works out.

So I'm not a perfect parent, but my kids sure are cute!

Magical weekend of fun

Our kids like to relax in the van. This is how Hannah always looks (unless she is sleeping).

Things have been pretty good at our house. Everyone is healthy for a few minutes at least.

Soccer practice started this week. The little kids loved playing at the park, but a whole hour is a lot in this heat. Poor Hannah was wiped out, but she played great!

We were wiped out keeping up with these two.

Then we had another kindergarden playdate. This one was at Borders and the teachers came and read to the kids.

Saturday we started our magical weekend of fun. We aren't taking any vacation this year so we have to cram in all our fun on the weekends. We started with slushies. We then spent the day in the pool. It was so nice to be swimming.

Adam and Layla took naps and we got to play with Hannah for a bit.

After swimming, we got brave and took the kids out to eat. It went ok so we went for ice cream! It was a full day of fun.
Sunday we split up and did our weekly shopping. After lunch and naps, we spent the rest of the day at the Magic House. The kids had a great time. It was really crowded, but got better as it got later in the day.

So that was our fun filled weekend. We are looking forward to more fun in the coming weeks!

Slushies and Swimming

We realized this week that Adam was in need of another haircut. He's pretty cute with his long curls. Wednesday night was Happy Slushie Day for my kids since our gas stations has $.25 drinks. I promised the next time they had that special, I would take them, so off we went for slushies.
Everyone was good and enjoyed sharing the red and blue.
Adam - looking cute - dancing.

Saturday morning was haircut day.

Adam was not thrilled, but didn't cry this time.

We took the kids to the Chesterfield Aquatic Center Saturday afternoon. As soon as we got there, Layla screamed bloody murder and ran right out. Apparently the giant cup that spills scared her and she was leaving! After I chased her into the parking lot, I brought her back and tried to talk to her and apply sunscreen. She just kept screaming and ran off the other direction. Matt took her to the lazy river and there they stayed for about 45 minutes. The other kids had a great time playing. After a snack, Layla was better but wanted nothing to do with the giant cup. area. She played in the sprinkler zone our we took turns with her in the lazy river. It was a really fun day for Hannah! She went up and down a slide 100 time or more. Adam walked around in the shallow pool just happy to be free to wander. Definately a good day. I have no pool pictures (for obvious reasons) but did get some happy outside playtime later.

A little daddy cuddle time.

Today we swam at Grandma's for a bit before the rain set in. The kids are tired. It is likely that Adam will visit the pediatrician tomorrow for a possible ear infection. If he does have one, it's back for more tubes we go.
