Day Off

We took the day off today to go to the St. Louis zoo. It was a beautiful day. We don't have many pictures because we had Abbie of "Abbie takes pictures" with us to do that! We took some family shots in Forest Park and then more in the zoo. They should turn out beautiful. The kids enjoyed the carousel and the stingray exhibit. We walked the zoo and rode the train around so it was a full trip. Adam did not nap at the zoo, but crashed for over two hours when we got home.

After the naps, we headed to the doctor for Adam's one year appointment. He did great and properly cried through the whole visit. He weighed in at 23lbs 10.5 oz (50%), and was 32 inches tall (97%). Poor guy got three shots, but was fine right after when he got his giant sucker.

It was a great day.
In other news, the kids are adjusting well to Kristine (the new nanny). More to come on that transition as we all get more comfortable.

Birthday Extravaganza

Our day was quite busy here on Sunday. We gave Adam his firetruck since he really needed something fun to do. Layla loves it! We got him ready for his big party before his afternoon nap.

We had friends and family over for the big event. Everyone ate and we opened presents. This went ok for about 1 minute. Then he realized he couldn't get these little cars out of the package and it went down hill.

It got better when he got this orange chair.
He loved the chair.
In fact he wouldn't let go of the chair.
Really really would not let go.
Still hangin on......
We had to give him some frosting to get him to let go and sit down for cake. That made things much better.
He loved cake.
and smashing cake.

And rubbing cake all over his face. Then we got in the tub. He played until around 7:30 when we finally tried to put him down. He had a great party.

Bouncy Saturday

We spent our rainy Saturday at the local Pump-It-Up. We had the place to ourselves for a while and ONE other kid showed up. It was great. They let us play wherever we wanted for 1.5 hours. Matt and I were tired! Adam loved climbing and being held while bouncing and chasing the girls.

Walking Man

And just the cutest picture of him:

Six Flags~!

We had a great day at Six Flags with the girls. They went on all the kiddie rides, bounced in this game (we still had to pay $5) and Hannah rode a big roller coaster. They had a wonderful time and there was only one two year-old fit! Once Layla and Adam hit 42 inches - this will be awesome!
