Missing my kiddos?

Sorry - life is just busy you know? Here is a video of Layla last week - just being cute.

Here is Hannah after her trip to Branson when she wanted to be a pirate.

And then she remembered that being a princess was fun too.

Sisters. It is so nice when they play together and don't hurt one another. Don't be fooled though - someone always ends up crying even if it is an accident.

We are gearing up here for a big weekend visit from Uncle Mark, Aunt Beth and Abbey. It should be fun and we are getting the girls portraits taken so that should be fun (ok so not really fun per say). It has been almost a year since we had their pictures taken together and we know they will be super cute.

God given right?

I would say so. If God gives you little girls, he also then grants you the right to dress them up for your own entertainment. After a three and a half hours nap, Layla was an all too willing participant in my game.

She's such a trooper.

Beautiful girl.

I am going to miss this time. I caught this picture the other night and just loved it. And you just have to love this naked fishy face.

Walking goose.

Layla is walking so good. She still has her penguin waddle, but she is walking almost exclusively now. We are so proud. We know she is over 14 months and that most kids are walking now, but if anyone remembers Hannah's issues - this is a big deal for us. She is entering her "get into everything, climb everything, general menace stage" right before the baby comes. Yay - should be a fun time for mom.

A new woman (Edited)

That's how I feel after 9 uninterupted hours of sleep. With the girls at Grandma's and the help of one tiny miracle pill called Ambien - I slept the sleep of my youth. No one woke me up to potty, no one cried out or coughed, no one started yelling from a crib at 5:30am, and the blessed Ambien made me blissfully unaware of the night storms. I didn't even set an alarm - just woke up naturally at around 6:45, showered and dressed and was on my way to work by 7.

I'm sure I will pay for this luxury tonight. (Yep - I did. Layla was up for 2 hours with teething pain as she is getting her molars)

So tired.......

That applies to all of us. The girls are exhausted from swimming yesterday and today. Hannah is asleep and has been for 1.5 hours now. Layla on the other hand has been talking in her crib for 1.5 hours. I checked on her twice to make sure she didn't poop (she likes to do this at nap time) and nope - just up talking. With just less than 10 weeks to go in my pregnancy - I am exhausted too. This is just the way to make sure a tired mommy gets no rest today.

The girls are playing together pretty well these days. We have our fair share of yelling, not sharing and hurting one another, but that's all normal and when they do play nice - it is pretty cute.

Mommy got a new toy this weekend! It's a mini van. I love it! I haven't taken a picture of it yet, but it's a Honda Oddessy (the same mini van 90% of all mini van driving moms have). It's awesome and it has a DVD and satellite radio! It is just time for us to have a mini van in preparation for baby's arrival. We can't get anywhere with 3 kids without one so we broke down and bought it. It was a pity to see my perfectly good paid off car go, but heck - I have wanted this van pretty much since Hannah was born and now I have it. It is everything I dreamed it would be.
